Bells – Silence and Sounds
This Spring, Dent Inn works with three like-minded artists:
Manjul, the poet of Nepal, Herbert Grammatikopoulos, the photographer of Greece and Manish Lal Shrestha, the visual artist of Nepal to bring you Bells – Silence and Sounds.
The mixed media exhibition features their mastreos creativity on the subject of bells.
The renowned artist Mr Shashi Bikram Shah will be inaugurating the ehibition at 5:30 pm on March 15th 2007.
The exhibition will be on from March 15th 2007 till April 14th, 2007 from 10 am to 6pm at Gallery 32 @ Dent Inn.
All three have their individual process and come across with enchanting exchange of the ideas.
Here Manjul seems to be into the process of enhancing his inner experiences through poems.
Herbert with his camera to find details of cultural heritages of the place where he has been residing from several years,
for him bells is not only a universal religious symbol, but he defines as a pure sound.
Manish, the young artist with his mix media art works, is trying to bring the optimistic energy through sound which is the innermost part of the bells.
He has been visually interpretating the symbol for several years and exploring with the practical.

Herbert Grammatikopoulos Photographer
Birth : 1958 in Graz/Austria.
Education : Study of Cultural Science and Ethnology at the University of Tuebingen, Germany, Master of Arts in 1995. Self-teaching photographer since 1975.
Workshops in Nepal : with Nepali and international Artists and Sutra Arts Group.

Manjul Poet and Folk Singer
Birth : 2 March,1947 in Bhojpur.
Education : MA in Nepali, Tribhuvan University.
Awards : Siddhi Charan Kavya Puraskar, Byathit Kavya Puraskar, Sajha Puraskar, Pratibha Puraskar and several others.
Publications : Six “Kavita Sangraha” in Nepali, one Novel, two Geet Sangraha, two Yatra Samsmaran and
two translation into Chinese and Japanese.
Workshops : in several places in Nepal and abroad.
